On March 8, the opening ceremony for the first “Job Opportunity and Order Class” in the electric power industry in Shandong Province kicked off at Shandong Urban Construction Vocational College. The ceremony was attended by Li Ting, deputy secretary general of Shandong Province Electric Power Enterprise Association, Gao Shaoyuan, vice president of the college, Mou Peichao, dean of the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and Liu Yongzhe, deputy CPC secretary of the same department, and so on, in addition to 40 “Order Class” students.
At the ceremony, Li Ting made a brief presentation of the Association. She said that, in the face of the increasingly challenging employment situation and difficulty in recruitment, the Association has worked with the electric power enterprises in the province to open the first “Job Opportunity and Order Class” in the province’s electric power industry so that “seamless interconnection” can be realized between recruiters and job seekers. The Class will provide training in accordance with the requirements of the job posts in the enterprises and train and develop technical talents to meet their recruitment requirements and achieve quality employment for the students.
According to Gao Shaoyun in his speech, the Association, as a bridge interconnecting the college and enterprises, has set up an excellent job platform for the students. The students in this Class should cultivate the spirit of “professionalism”. First, they should develop their identity as the “power construction people’ and continue to improve their capability in learning and practice, thus getting well prepared for their future career in the electric power industry. Second, they should have an ideal in their career – they should be committed to their job post and the electric power industry, while seeking perfectionism in their work and enriching and developing themselves into talents.
