Award-Presenting Ceremony for PGT Cup First Shandong Province Electric Power Industry Essay and Photography Competition Takes Place in Jinan

On September 17, the Award-Presenting Ceremony for PGT Cup First Shandong Province Electric Power Industry Essay and Photography Competition Took Place in Jinan. The ceremony was attended by Li Ting, deputy secretary general of Shandong Province Electric Power Enterprise Association, Huang Ying, director of New Media Editorial Office and editor-in-chief of China Electric Power News, He Xinghua, deputy director of the Industry Management Department of Shandong Province Electric Power Enterprise Association, and Wang Wenying, representative from PGT, who presented awards to the winners. The ceremony was presided over by Yan Jing, deputy director of the General Department of the Association.


With its theme as Song of Electric Power People, it was the first literary and art contest organized by Shandong Province Electric Power Enterprise Association and soliciting works from the whole electric power industry in Shandong. The Essay First Prize went to Wei Xingbo from China Guodian Shiheng Power Generation Co., Ltd. for his essay Going through Trials and Tribulations to Success, and the Photography First Prize was won by Zhu Yufeng from China Huadian Longkou Power Generation Co., Ltd. for his photo Dance of Steam Turbine Rotors Rendered through Conscientious Direction.


PGT Cup First Shandong Province Power Industry Essay and Photography Competition started as of May this year. In a span of two months, it received 404 photographs and 172 essays. They underwent the initial review, secondary review, and onsite review in a professional way based on the principle of “just and fair”; finally, nine photographs and nine essays were shortlisted for the First, Second, and Third Prizes, while some other excellent works were selected for the Excellence award.


These essays and photographs represent the development of the electric power industry in Shandong and the optimism and passion shown by the power workers in the province comprehensively from various angles.
