Shandong Province Electric Power Enterprise Association Convenes New Work Safety Law Communication Meeting for Power Industry


On November 3, Shandong Province Electric Power Enterprise Association convened New Work Safety Law Communication Meeting for Electric Power Industry so that the electric power industry in Shandong could better understand the newly-amended Work Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China. The meeting was presided over by Xu Zhen, secretary general of the Association.




The meeting was attended by Fu Haibo, member of Leading Party Group and deputy commissioner of Shandong Energy Regulatory Office, who made specific requirements on the communication and implementation of the new Work Safety Law in the electric power industry in Shandong. Liu Jiwu, chief of Safety Supervision Section of Shandong Energy Regulatory Office, was present at the meeting and specified the priorities in work safety in the next stage according to the new Work Safety Law. The Association specially invited Shi Shaohua, one of the drafters of the new Work Safety Law and deputy chief of the Department of Policies, Laws, and Regulations of the National Energy Administration to interpret the background and contents of the amendment. It also invited Liu Jian, former associate chief engineer and professor-level senior engineer of State Grid North China, to interpret the power industry part of the new law.

The power enterprises in Shandong attached great importance to this meeting, which saw the presence of more than 140 attendees, including Zhang Fangzheng, deputy general manager of China Guodian, Ding Xingwu, deputy general manager of China Huaneng, Huang Peng, deputy general manager of China Huadian, and Yang Xiangliang, deputy general manager of State Grid Shandong, and other representatives from the power supply companies and institutions involved in electric power research, design, and construction.
