Shandong Province Electric Power Engineering Enterprise Association was recently ratified as a 2011 Annual Review Excellent Social Organization by the Department of Civil Affairs of Shandong Province, after it had had the honor the year before.
In 2011, Shandong Province Electric Power Engineering Enterprise Association under the leadership of Shandong Electricity Regulatory Office expanded its scope of work, effectively fulfilled its duties of service, and improved its social influence by considering the characteristics of the electric power industry in Shandong and working toward the set objective. First, it strengthened its internal management, created a pool of power experts, and stepped up its efforts in organizational building. Second, by changing its working approach, it expanded its membership and strengthened its IT work. Third, it allowed the experts to release their potential to the full in serving the industry. It carried out work safety standardization appraisal activities; ran a technical qualification application pilot for enterprises; set up an exchange and learning platform for the power engineering enterprises in Shandong Province, providing its members with quality service. Fourth, by sticking to its correct position and identifying the accurate point of access for its work, it boosted communication and exchanges, communicated policies, laws, and regulations to enterprises and fed back the requirements of enterprises to government in a timely manner, fulfilling its function as a bridge of communication. Fifth, it strengthened the self-regulation of the industry, improved the overall level of the industry, established and perfected industry rules and convention, standardized the business conduct of enterprises, cultivated a positive order of market competition, and played its part for the development of the industry.
The Association was fully recognized and highly praised by the Department of Civil Affairs of Shandong Province for its work in 2011. Building on this, the Association will keep up its good work and play a better role as an excellent social organization, making greater contributions to the faster and better development of the electric power industry in Shandong.
