Shandong Province Electric Power Engineering Enterprise Association Recognized as First-Grade Appraisal Institution for Power Work Safety Standardization Rating

On August 20, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission issued “Letter Announcing the Second Batch of Appraisal Institutions for Power Work Safety Standardization Rating (Power Generation Enterprises)”. Shandong Province Electric Power Engineering Enterprise Association smoothly passed the qualification review as an appraisal institution for power work safety standardization rating, becoming the first first-grade appraisal institution in Shandong for power work safety standardization and one of the 15 institutions qualified to appraise nationwide power generation enterprises by category.

The 12th Fiver-Year Work Safety Plan issued by the General Office of the State Council requires that every department and every industry should carry out solid risk management and standardization in work safety. The State Electricity Regulatory Commission and the State Administration of Work Safety jointly issued Guidelines for Deepening Standardization in Power Work Safety, expressly requiring that electric power enterprises should further carry out standardization in work safety and setting the objective that all major enterprises will achieve standardization in work safety by the end of 2013 while enterprises of all sizes will attain standardization in work safety by the end of 2015.

This qualification of the appraisal institution was a systematic and strict review and assessment of the appraisal institution in terms of the qualifications of its staff, its management system, and appraisal process management. An appraisal institution passing this qualification review can rate the power generation enterprises within the scope of appraisal in terms of standardization in work safety.
